Een temperatuurmeter is een apparaat dat wordt gebruikt om de temperatuur aan te geven van een object dat wordt bewaakt. Het display kan een analoge wijzerplaat, een analoge scoop of een digitale uitlezing zijn. Gebruikelijke methoden om temperatuur te meten zijn bimetalen strips (waarvan de buiging met de temperatuur toeneemt) en het thermokoppel dat een elektronische spanning produceert die afhankelijk is van de temperatuur. Deze meter geeft aan of de koelvloeistof van je motor koud, normaal of oververhit is.
